Romantic Women’s Fiction – The Desert Flowers – Rose

The Desert Sage Inn Series, Book 1

Romantic Women’s Fiction

Release Date: January 28, 2021

Publisher: Wild Quail Publishing

Three talented women brought together by a man’s love…

When Rose Macklin is asked to help Alec Thurston, the one man she’s ever truly loved, by coming to Palm Desert, California, she doesn’t hesitate. He’s dying of cancer and needs her help in overseeing the sale of his hotel, The Desert Sage Inn, to another hotel group. With her marketing skill and as the owner of a very successful blog, she’s his perfect choice to make the sale a smooth transition while maintaining the reputation of the upscale property. She arrives to find two other women summoned to help Alec. Lily Weaver was once Alec’s assistant, and Willow Sanchez was like a daughter to him. They join forces to help him, lovingly accepting his nickname for them—the Desert Flowers, similar to the well-known Charlie’s Angels.

When Rose is assigned to work alongside Hank Bowers, an independent consultant to the hotel company’s team, she shudders at his reputation as an outgoing guy who always uses sports analogies and is certain they won’t get along. But Alec counsels her to give Hank a chance and, later, as they work together as a team, Rose is left to wonder if falling for one another is part of Alec’s secret plan even if one of Hank’s grown daughters fights the idea.

A series for those who love stories about strong women facing challenges and finding love and happiness along the way.

Women’s Fiction – Cuttle

Women’s Fiction – Cuttle

Women’s Fiction, Literary Fiction

Published: September 2020

Publisher: Bleau Press

Nora Novak knows cuttlefish.

Actually, Nora knows a lot of species. She can name every shark, whale, eel, and Ohioian turtle (among others).

She’s not as committed with humans.

But she’s only been in her lab for a little over a decade. How much could she have missed?

As she’s wrapping up her postdoc, Nora’s carefully-balanced ecosystem is in crisis. Her maze-navigating cuttlefish are retiring. Polyester shorts are no longer “in.” Somewhere along the line, she forgot to learn how to date.

So she does what any self-actualizing biologist in her early thirties would. Nora Novak embraces the #FOMO.

Praise for Cuttle:

“Insanely good” -Literary Titan

“You won’t want to miss a single sentence.” -Independent Book Review

“Cuttle glows with interest and graceful writing.” -Foreword Reviews

“Hilariously astute…brimming with heart” -Indies Today

“Quirky and clever…perfectly in tune” -Reader’s Favorite

“Poetic, captivating…a romance steeped in a vibrant personality’s introspective genius.” -Midwest Book Review

“Britain’s writing is both assured and full of heart…a rollicking fun read.” -The Praries

A promise keeps them apart until WWII threatens to destroy their love forever

Fonzaso Italy, between two wars

Nina Argenta doesn’t want the traditional life of a rural Italian woman. The daughter of a strong-willed midwife, she is determined to define her own destiny. But when her brother emigrates to America, she promises her mother to never leave.

When childhood friend Pietro Pante briefly returns to their mountain town, passion between them ignites while Mussolini forces political tensions to rise. Just as their romance deepens, Pietro must leave again for work in the coal mines of America. Nina is torn between joining him and her commitment to Italy and her mother.

As Mussolini’s fascists throw the country into chaos and Hitler’s Nazis terrorise their town, each day becomes a struggle to survive greater atrocities. A future with Pietro seems impossible when they lose contact and Nina’s dreams of a life together are threatened by Nazi occupation and an enemy she must face alone…

About the Author

Jennifer Anton is an American/Italian dual citizen born in Joliet, Illinois and now lives between London and Lake Como, Italy. A proud advocate for women’s rights and equality, she hopes to rescue women’s stories from history, starting with her Italian family.

Power. Lust. Betrayal. Murder. Blamed for the deaths of both her parents,
Zoey Tirado is raised under the cruel control of her wealthy Uncle
Max—an obsessive narcissist whose vicious deeds scar Zoey’s
future forever. Zoey manages to escape, but feeling powerless and alone,
lets her life spiral out of control. Finally ready for help, Zoey is taken
under the wing of a champion female fighter who guides her on a journey of
transformation and empowerment by helping her strengthen both her body and
her mind. Rising above her past, Zoey focuses on her ultimate goal: exacting
the perfect revenge.

This first installment of The Perfect Revenge series sets the stage for a
sexy and thrilling saga, packed with romance, espionage, street justice, and
more. In The Dragonfly Rises, Zoey’s emotion-filled metamorphosis from
a guilt-ridden child into an inspirational success is a page-turner every
woman can relate to.

About the Author

WilD is a storyteller and longtime philanthropist who’s dedicated
generous amounts of time and money to organizations that aid women with
troubled pasts. The drastic transformations he’s witnessed have proven
to him what is possible when people are given the right support system.
Today, he’s an ardent champion of female empowerment, driven to create
a lasting legacy by furthering the cause even more.

However, WilD realized early on he was not the ideal “face” of
the women’s movement. And so, with the goal of keeping the attention on Zoey
and her message, WilD has chosen to remain anonymous. But the impetus for
his commitment to this project need not be a mystery.

Like Zoey, WilD overcame heartbreaking adversity; in fact, many story
scenes are based directly on his and his mother’s distressing
experiences. But after being told he would never amount to anything, he
became the first in his family to attend college, went on to earn a graduate
degree, and most importantly, found personal fulfillment.

Crafting Zoey’s story is WilD’s first step toward inspiring
women to reach their highest goals, even when faced with the steepest odds.
He hopes that exposing the plight of girls like Zoey will help more women
find their own voices and will encourage others to join the mission.
